I have an 03 Altima and didn't run into this problem. Are you sure you're using the correct kit?

are you trying to ISO mount this or with the sleeve? if with the sleeve you dont need to line up any screws on the chassis of the radio.....

I'm trying to use the two side brackets screwed into the side of the deck. I'm not useing the sleeve, it won't fit into the trim. The two side brackets have five holes each. Two on top two on bottom with one in the midle. I tried all the holes and no matter what, the deck won't line up with the hole of the trim.
