Getting 14 volts from power wire ?

I just installed my 4 gauge power wire running from the battery to the trunk, when I tested it I was getting 13.50 to 14.1 volts Is this what it should be?

yupperz, thats a good sign.   Anything over 15 volts or under 13 then you have alternator problems.
