I'm looking into getting some new subs sometime soon and i had heard something about some new Alpine Type X subs and i was curious if anyone on here has heard them play before. From what ive seen they look pretty cool and look like they would really thump too. I was also curious what the power rating is on them i was planning on going with 10's or 12's. Thanks

They have them in the Crutchfield catalog already. Both the 10's and 12's are rated at 500 - 1,000 watts RMS

Oh yeah, the 10's are $399.99 and the 12's are $449.99.

I listened to a 12" type-x 2 weeks ago, , if you do a search back i wrote kinda a review.

It definately is a hot looking sub front and back, , it was freeking loud and clear, 1000wrms was pushing it, and it could take more. It only comes in dual 4 ohm coils, , ,so you need to choose your amps wisely.
