I just recived a 4x10" sub enclosure. I checked out the mount holes and they are not symmetrical, It's to wide for the screws in some areas! They wont fall thru or anything. Is there any way I repair this? (mounting bracket of some kind or silicone) Help please!
Thanks for your time

I am not sure I follow you. Are the subwoofer holes too big to allow the screws to grab wood when the subs are installed? .........I would not recommend using silicone sealant around the gasket of the sub as this may void the warranty, depending on what kind of sub it is. If you must use some type of sealant around the sub use rope caulk or plumbers putty.

The holes that are there, that are not correct (ie in the wrong place, you can fill them with bondo, or even wood putty and then just drill new holes and screw in the sub (predrill first).
I would recommend building your own enclosures in the future, that is if you have the tools and what not, you can make such a better product from a lot cheaper.

Make a new top sheet that will have the holes the right size. Doesn't matter if the old one is still there... just nail it over top of it and refinish the box. ------------- Jeff
