routers always work good, a hole saw that large would have too much friction for a drill to turn..

First, how do you sit a box onto a drill press? Second, never use a router on a capeted box. Also if someone comes across any blinker fluid or a 6x9 holesaw let me know.

Hey Auex, you can get a radial arm drill press that will fit some boxes and you can probably pick up some blinker fluid at Wal-Mart in the automotive section next to the headlight coolant. As far as the 6x9 hole saw, I don't think they make one that big, you might have to settle for the 5x7 and use a RotoZip to finish off the rest ------------- Jeff

well the front face of the box will fit and obviously youd cut the holes before final assembly (thats the way ive always done it....never had problems) but i heard my buddy talking about a metal arm with 2 bits at opposite ends that can be adjusted for 10, 12, 15 etc and it cuts a perfect hole in about 10 seconds in 3/4 mdf.....hell i should just make it

The tool you are describing is called a boring bar and they are generally used with an end mill or lathe. They work quite nicely. ------------- Support the12volt.com
