i have some 5x7 kappas in my truck and when i play CO&CA it the highs sound like crackly a lil bit...but only on the right side what could cause this... .....btw... CO&CA has really really high pitched vocals for the most part

busted voice coil's cause crackling. If the VC has over heated (really loud playing) and starts to fray it will cause distortion. What are you pushing these kappas with and how loud do you play them?

Are you running them off a factory amp? Its life might be over soon.

yea factory.... im about to rewire it... i guess i should do tha asap.....i mean its the same volume iveben playing it at...right before distortion hits.... well used 2 and they are playing as loud... good thing itll only cost 6$$ to get it replaced....

im going 2 try 2 rewire that one to my deck directly and see if it helps....
