I found thid Pyramid PB-290GB 300w Gold Series amp in a trash can.:D    Anyways, i repaired the rca input jacks and all of that schwag and it worked fine. Can someone tell me the exact specs on this amp other than what it says on the amp itself. 300w max, .04THD, 2 ohm stable.----->it says this on the amp. Thanks

you should have left it where you found it... lol

there is no way to accurately determine the output of this amp without actually metering the output stage during operation... but these " hung wow " brands tend to grossly exaggerate their ratings.. i'd say it 's probably 35-50 a side....

i was just wondering. I don't use it anymore, i use my old Punch 100 instead. When I did have it hooked up, I had it in bridged operation w/parallel wiring and it made my profiles bottom out. Who cares. One thing, if this amp was 35-50 a side, if you do the math, then how come I blew up a 20 amp power supply with it?

Maybe it short circuited :)

I concur about the pyramid brand (it's the lowest of the low) but if you do want to find out exactly how much power it's putting out, it's not that hard to do, as long as you have a good car battery (or other 12v supply with plenty of current), an oscilloscope, a 4 ohm high power resistor (150w perhaps), an AC voltage meter, a DC voltage meter, a tone generator (or cd player and a cd with test tones) and enough patience to wire it all up into a test rig :).
