Hry guys, I've been a sound tech for some time but I've never heard of infinty systems in dodges. I just got a '95 dodge avenger and saw that it had infinty speakers. I was wondering how they compare to other stock systems since I don't have a head unit put in yet. Thanks

they are usually the first things we remove when we do upgrades in these vehicles.... they are problematic speakers that develop intermittent problems in the output stages of the active amps attached to the speakers..... which is experienced by loud crackling noises heard through the system..... they sound ok when functioning, but nothing compared to a good quality replacement speaker.....

And when we remove these speakers we place them in the garbage cans. Make sure that the lid is carefully replaced so that the inferior factory gear can not make a run for it once you leave.

Taking the air saw to them before you throw them in the garbage can usually prevent the chance of them running away, lol.

As Kevin has stated, they usually sound pretty good when they are functioning properly, but thats the key word, when they are functioning properly. I have rarely seen any of these last more than a couple of years before problems start occurring.
