Yeah, yeah, i know its not a great idea, but I have had these old kicker subs in my basement now for four years, hooked up to my 'home theatre' i guess you could call it .posted_image
They are really junk. They are probably ten years old.

Im going to throw them in my girlfriends Sunfire and just run them off of the stock power and want to know the best way to do this. She has a trunk with 6x9's in the rear deck.

A) unplug the 6x9's and run the factory wires to each sub. (stereo)

B) Run the subs in parallel with the rear 6x9's so that all 6 speakers are running.

C) Try bridging the deck to a mono rear output. (what is that, +left, - right?)

Please help and dont say "buy an amp, you doorknob". I did it years ago off of an AC Delco in my blazer and it worked fine for low-med listening.

there is no 'best' way to do this, i bet you wont even know they are there. All their gonna do is fry your head unit, too power hungry

A) would be the only safe way to do it.

But hey, buy an amp, you doorknob!  posted_image

You can't bridge a head unit, because all "high-power" head units are already bridged.

Option B could probably work as long as you don't drive the deck into clipping (which is very likely that you will, because the deck just won't be able to play loudly enough)..

Buy an amp, doorknob! Buy something used off ebay cheaply, anything will be better than the deck.
