I have a pioneer premier 940 and it has a 13 band eq, and I am having problem setting it all up to sound right. It has too much or not enough mid bass. I dont know what to do, any help would be great, oh I have mb quart 216.81 up front with jl audio 300/4 bridged to them and two eclipse 12 in the back with 1001db turned way down, and it is a suburban.

I wish I could just sit down in your vehicle and listen for my self to help you out, it would be so much easier that way. Have you picked out which band is causing the majority of the problems, or is the problem falling between two bands. If you can narrow this down mabye I can come up with a solution for you. Have you had a previous deck in this vehicle with this set up that did not give you this problem or could this be caused by a character trait of the speakers or the amp?

Well I hade another pioneer headunit that had low mid and high setting only and it sounded real nice. I just really wanted to know if there was an easy way to do this or if you just have to sit down and play with it?

This sounds like one of those problems where its just gonna take some tinker time.

Naw, sounds like an excuse to head into your favorite local Eclipse dealer and audition a new cd player.

Tinker time indeed is in your future with this cd player. This is one of the issues with graphic eq's, they adjust everything around them, you boost this or cut that and everything around it goes out the window. I hate graphic eq's. Did I mention an Eclipse cd player yet?
