Rookie question:

If I wanted to run a head unit + MB Quart PCE-216 (front) + Focal 165K2 (rear) components, which would produce better sound quality. Using one big 4-channel amplifier to power them all or give the components custom watt care with each having it's own 2 channel amplifier? Thanks!

Damn that was seriously hard to read, dude.

If the amplifiers are correctly designed, there will be NO difference in sound quality between these two options, all other things being equal.

However, things usually aren't equal - each channel of a 2 channel amp is usually more powerful than each channel of a 4 channel amp.

But.. Why are you putting component speakers in the rear? :)

I would go with the single 4 channel amplifier. Much easier to wire, less chance of a ground loop, less space taken up, less wiring bought.

Sorry about the text. I just joined the forum, I don't know why in heck it's showing it with all that HTML crap. I'm clicking on this "Enable Forum Codes to format post". Hopefully this will fix it.

As for why seperates in the back, my 2002 Golf TDI's crappy Monsoon system has seperates in the back so the holes are already cut up. :)

Don't use another program (like word) to type your posts then paste the text here.  Formatting tags get added that way.

Just do the 4 channel man, less componets create less problems. Just make sure to buy a good quality 4 channel.

The four channel would work.
