I READ ON these fourm that its not safe to hook 2 amps up to a dvc ,one on one VC and one on the other VC, well i was woundering if its posable to hook 2 amps up to one VC, and im talking about using two of the same amp, i have 2 RF amp and one rated at 430 and others rated at 429 rms, could i use two amp on one sub wired up either of these two ways?

the minute you touch the wires to the same VC you will experience something like never before,except you won;t like it,just don't do it.

i was just woundering why pionner has a 2000watt rms sub but ther most powerful amp is 300rms,.... then how does this guy use 36 amps on 9 subs?https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/article/0,,2076_4057_56825958,00.html

dunno... alot of amps can be linked to use on one sub.....but they are high end

Okay let's think for a minute. 36 amps, 9 subs. 9*4=36 so at least the math works out.

Here's one way to do it:

36 Rockford Fosgate BD-series amps (bd500, bd1000 or bd1500).. Bridge the amps (WITH bridging cables, that's a must), so that you get 18 outputs.

Then you use 9 DVC subs, and hook each of the 18 bridged amp outputs to one voice coil.

Then you would calibrate the gains of the amps exactly (with an AC volt meter and test tones). This is important - if the gains are mismatched, bad things will happen.
