I have a Nissan Frontier pick up that has one pair of component speakers and I want to get a small sub woofer. The amp I have is 30W X 4 at 12 volts and plan to bridge the amp to run the sub. I don't need to be heard a mile away and don't need to rattle the body panels off my truck. What would be better, an 8 or 10 inch sub? Single or dual voice coil? 4 or 2 ohms?

get an 8" sub with dual 4 Ohm coils in a sealed box. That way you can bridge all 4 channels into the single sub. Check out some of the Rockfords if ur lookin for heavy bass or else check out JL/Infinity/Cerwin-Vega's if ur lookin for more sound quality. If you want tighter bass you might also think about get'n the 10" instead of the 8"

I'm only bridging 2 channels for the sub so I'll be putting about 60 watts rms power thru it.

nah, what I'm say'n is this: If you bridge 2 channels of the amp to one coil and bridge the other 2 to the other coil you'll be pushing the sub with the entire 120 watts bridged which should RMS at like 100 and peak around 200. If your planning to use the other 2 channels to run componets/Fr speakers/etc then I'd say go with a SVC 4 Ohm speaker and just bridge the 2 channels to it like you said. I just though u were going to dedicate the amp to the sub and thats why I thought u'd want to get its full potential.
