Hey guys i need some help with a box for a MTX 9500 i was going to use the spec sheet that i got with the sub to build the sealed box that it  shows but i really want the ported box but the thing is that i think it might be too big to fit in my trunk opening and i've never actually built a ported box before so i dont wnat to start changing what they got on the mtx site.  And also one big ? is how would it sound in that box just for playing music? This isnt going to be a competition install.

What Kinda car do you have, is it possible to load the box by taking out the back set and sliding the box in that way. You can just change the outside paremeters to meet your needs as long as the internal airspace remains the same and the port stays the same size. Its gonna sound super loud and very deep, if you listen to rap and hip hop and pop music its gonna sound good. If you listen to punk and rock and what not, you may wanna consider doing the sealed box. Makes sure you power the damn thing right as well.

Its going in a 99 Grand Am GT yeah i listen to rap mainly.  I think i got it figured out i called  MTX and worked with one of there Tech's and we figured out how to change the box to fit in the trunk opening it.  I will alos be feeding it 1000 watts RMS so it should sound good enough hopefully
