Right then....... do you have buckets up front or a split bench? Is the rear seat one seat or is it a split as well? Will the sub physically fit in the area above the transmission between the back of the front seat and the front of the back seat. Do you know how to use fibreglass?

I think JL audio also makes a stealthbox for this particular vehicle that will hold that woofer unless Im mistaken. You may wanna check their website

My truck has two seperate seats and a center console. I just spent almost $5000.00 towards my system, and all of it is still in the box, what a sad week... ------------- Scott

I wish I knew how to use fiberglass, and I did check JL's website and no stealth box for regular cab, only ext.... I was told that I will have to go with a non-ported box (because of size limits) would I notice a sound difference between ported and non-ported with this sub?

you wont be able to put it behind the seat. be happy you have bucket seats. replace that console with a custom made enclosure. that sub will sound awesome in the center between the seats. it will allow you to give the sub more space and port if you'd like. you spent 5 g's? go a little further and finish the journey. you'll be happy you did.

I say that if you dont know how to fiberglass you pay a professional to rebuild your center console to hold the sub. Personally I would build it so the sub fired towards the back of the cab but thats just me. I remember building a box to replace the rear center console of a Ford Larriet F-150 for a Thunder 8000 and it worked awsome. Thats my best / only suggestion. If you dropped 5 g's than dont mess it all up by trying to do something yourself if it falls out of your skill range.

How 'bout welding as an option to raise the mounting space of your seats above the floorboard. Never done it, but thought if I was ever faced with this problem it may be feasable. By raising a few inches, you may be able to fit a ten under each seat (aka- butt blaster)...you may have to down-grade to 8's since mounting depth becomes an issue- but you may be able to get two 8's under each seat (yowza). Unless done with some engineering, this could alter the safety design of your vehicle and may not be safe. Other opinions?? Cost is usually a factor, but with $5k already in equipment, finding space for it...priceless!? When buying a pick-up, I mandated an extra cab and rebuilt the back seat. Good luck! ------------- Why...Cause most of my time on the road is alone and I never tell myself to turn it down! Should our generation invest in hearing aides??

i wouldnt go messing with the structural integrity of your vehicle.... you may want to do what raven suggested tho and have a nice box/console built.... also, dont let everything revolve around the specific driver you have... sometimes you have to chose your components based on your vehicle, not the other way around.... look at some of the slim line subs being made these days... they sound great and aren't much thicker than a AAA battery.....
