Ok i have two american pro 8" subs-its the 250 watt model, yeah i know they are crappy, but thats not whats this is about- im building a folded horn for them and i have heard that even the crappiest subs sound amazing. Its for my step bro who how has my 79 civic beater....so i thought it'd be funny as hell to add to his ghetto setup.
I need the info on them- like Q and Vas
Is there a way i can test and figure out for it if i can find that info? That info is becoming impossible to find btw.

A good article from Rod Elliot: https://www.sound.westhost.com/tsp.htm
Building a folded horn cabinet is probably the most difficult challenge for any enclosure builder. I have tried a couple of times and have never gotten very good results (but then again I am really not that good a carpenter!) Go for it but measure and measure again and follow a really good set of plans!

Finally having some time to sit down and read it all....i need an Audio frequency oscillator according to them...couldnt a tone generator off the net work then burned to a cd?
Also, the power amplifer- that'd just be the amp i'll use right? but how do i get the power input down to .5-1 volt?
Looks like ill need to get a DMM, i have a el cheapo analog. I've always wanted a nice DMM. now i have an excuse to get one.lol
resistor can be picked up at radio shack couldnt it...

You can get an audio oscillator, audio-quality resistors and DMM from
Parts Express. Not sure yet about the voltage input reducer.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
