i have two 6.5" pioneer premier mids and one tweeter in each door. I have a ZR240 amp to run them. What i want to know is the best way to run these.

I was thinking of running the amp in 2ohm stereo and using the two passive crossovers per door that came with the speakers (however, only running one tweeter on one crossover).

But, i was told that this may sound muddy as both mids will have the same frequencies running through them

My other option was to get a 3 way passive set up and run all speakers off that....i was looking at CDT satnet system for their three ways. Basically, treating the second mid as a 4"...

does anyone have any input into this....other options? recommendations etc

thanks

maybe you should set it up as a 3 way system using the passive xo. the only thing that might be a problem is the low frequency leg(if i still remember how passives work). it might be too low for that 6.5. i would try running the 2 speaks in parallel @ 2 ohms and put the tweeter to just one of them. i dont see why it would sound muddy. i plan on doing the same(2 6.5' 3 ways) to a customers vehicle.
