i hav 2 rfd 2110s and 1 fosgate 1001bd amp, iz runnin em 2ohms 4 erythin good? and wut farad capacitor shud i get, 1 or 1.5, tha subz r 500 rms each, tha amp 1000 rms, thnx, and any other info wud help, box design, nethin, all i listen 2 iz rap 2 if that helpz

The cap is based on your amp not the subs. If the amp is over 500 watts, you will need at least a 1 farad cap.

The Rockford fosgate amp bangs, I've only gone through the 801s.
Get a ported or bandpass box. No need to go customization.
As far as the cap goes, get a 1.5 Fard Fosgate Cap.
Rap is good. Try Usher feat/ Ludacris "Yeah".

Bandpass? blah! Boomy crap bass is what a band pass is. Ported on the other hand would be a much better idea. For those 2 speakers I'd say a ported box will give u ur best SPL response.

Bandpass looks nice with its flashy mirrors and chromed lining.
Go with the ported/sealed box.

Since rap, go with tupac?

Bandpass may look nice and all, but when those mirrors start rattling it sounds like crap lol. So if u never play it and just show it to ur friends then have fun haha. As for tupac, well yeah, he's the best (Thats just an opinion so dont get ur panties in a bunch people) rap artist there has ever been, its just alot of his tracks dont have the deep rumble bass that I like to hear comming from my subs... although 'Still Ball'n' will definatley turn some heads posted_image

Yeah thats when when the mirrors are rattling you have your head right next to it so you can hear the mirrors rattling right?
As for me i can't hear anyting but SPL from the inside of the car.
Yeah bandpass can used to produce SPL if you know how to work its magic.

Just make sure you show your friend your ugly brown ported box with screws and silcone sticking out when u go to competitions. Bandpass is both nice sound and looks.
Sealed and ported are also excellent sound.
Like i said, if you know how to use it to its advantage then your good to go.

And as for rap try snoop doog feat dr. dre . i believe the song is title "Like This and like that"

Bandpass sounds good huh? Have you ever seen winning sq car with a bandpass enclosure? I can already tell yuo that you havent, and if you have then no one else was in their class. Its simple fact that a bandpass box cannot be used as a good sq box. It can be loud but that doesnt equate to good. Dont get me wrong I am a total SPL guy, thats why I run 4 12's in my little s10 but If I was gonna do sq I would do a sealed box everytime. With that said, the gramaticaly challenged guy who started this post would be best to use those subs in a ported enclsure to tailor to his listening needs. As far as the cap goes, I agree to use he 1.5 farad cap but remember that the altenator is the most important key in the charging system and if its not up to par than replacing the battery or adding a cap isnt gonna fix your problem.
