ANyone with any experience with a Nakamichi PA-8001 Amp? I plan on pushing a Focal Utopia 27Wx with it, in a sealed box of 40 liters volume. I know the amp is overkill for the sub, but I won't be turning up the volume all the way. Any experienced ones, please shed some insight. I don't seem to find any reviews on it anywhere on the web. Also no review for PA-2004 anywhere on the web.

Both are very nice pieces, as we are a Nakamichi dealer, so it is kind of a one sided opinion. But I will give it to you for what its worth.

I have installed a few of those, and I was really satisfied with the quality of the sound of Nakamichi's amplifiers. With both setups, they were using Audiocontrol processors, so you could do a little fine tuning.

The one setup that really impressed me was in a 04' Chevy extended cab. It was two PA-2004's on the front, one on the rears, and a PA-8001 on each sub(two 12's). Very crisp and clean sounding, with exceptional response with classic rock.

Hope this helps, and IMO, if you are looking for sound quality, with Nakamichi products, I don't think you wold be disappointed.
