I am looking at a PPI 1250 mono power amp, and it says it uses 6 gauge power wire, now i may not know much about car audio, but i know that it is quite hard if not impossible to ifne 6 gauge power wire. Now, would i be able to use 4 ga. or maybe 8 ga. ( although i'd be worried about overpowering the wire there) or can you buy 6 ga. wire. i want to use monster cables, keep it quality, probably a jl 10w7 or 12w7, just for your infromation. thanks for all the help.

I saw on the web site that it says 6 gauge but it’s not a common size. I would suggest using a 4 gauge wire i am sure you would be able to get it to fit. However you can use an 8 gauge. Check out the 12 volts power cable size chart: https://www.the12volt.com/info/recwirsz.asp

Thanks man, also, anyone who might know of some wire manufacturers you are big fans of, what do you guys like? I am looking at monster stuff cuz it is nice, but i saw this KnuKoncepts stuff, boasting some pretty high strand-counts and what not, anyone know about the quality there? also, what is the best kind of 1 farad cap i could get, preferrably digital, but not a necessity. thanks.
