I'm new to this and trying to install my amp. When I go to connect the RCA cables to the head unit, I can't find where to put them. There not a place on the head unit. I have an '03 Sebring with the factory head unit. Am I looking in the wrong place? Please let me know where they are or what I have to do? Thanks in advance. posted_image

well generally 99% of factory head units do not have RCA preamps.

well, if your installing a new amp to power ur factory speakers then you can use a line converter that will convert the factory outputs into RCA low level outputs. If your trying to install a subwoofer with an amplifier then ur going to find that to be extremely hard because you'd have to get a line converter, split the outputs into 4 channels, get a second amp to power the other 2 factory speakers then get crossovers to send the correct signals to each speaker. In other words you'd be better off just buying a new head unit with some preamp outputs.

wowa xtreamcc  thats 3 posts so far iv corrected, you must be getting sleepy.

Anyways, , all you will need is a LOC, a line level converter that takes a signal from one of your speaker wires and turns it into an rca output that you can use to send signals to your amp.  It does not affect the speaker that you are tapping into.   i assume you are putting a sub in.   it is always reccomended to replace the factory HU like said above, but if money or any other factors are stopping you, then the LOC  is all you need, , good luck!
