I'm looking at buying a 1996 chevy blazer 4 door.  I have a system already in my car that I would install in it if  I get it.  Problem is, with the factory radio in the blazer, there is only sound coming from the driver's door.  I took the unit out of the dash and checked all the wires coming out of it and they were all there and none cut back there.  Is there any way to check if the wires may be cut somewhere else in the car or check if its the unit not sending signal out without having to take the door panels off to get to the speakers or changing out head units?  These door panels have to come all the way off to get to the door speakers and I dont have the right tools and I had a 94 s-10 that I took the door panel off and it never went back on right.  Is there an easy way to get these off without a special tool?  Please help!

You can take that panel off with a drill. If you are scared to take it off then use a tone generator.

i know there is a screw behind the inside door handle, is that the only screw to take off to remove the panel?  Also, what is the best way to pull the panel off without damaging the rest of the clips that hold it on?

Simple. Remove the radio from the dash disconnect the suspect speaker wire. Use a 9 volt battery and touch the negitve and positive speaker wires to the corasponding points on the battery. Listen for a pop. If you dont hear the pop its time to remove the door pannel. Dont wory the 9volt battery will not hurt the speaker.  If you have that much trouble with the door pannel take it to your local shop and let them mess with it.

actually you can check them without cutting wires. you can use wires off a ac/dc volt tester or two test wires with the alligator clips clipping onto two skinny nails (ghetto i kno but will work) and gently push into the side of the harness that the wires are entering/leaving . try it on a speaker that works first then the one that doesn't to make sure that you're hitting the metal inside the harness if not then you do have to cut.
