Does it matter WHERE the in line antenna modulator is connected? I have a wagon and there's a storage bin in the farthest corner back right under where the antenna leads come in from the outside.  The CD changer would fit perfectly there and I was thinking of just connecting the adapter right there as well.  Its a power antenna so I wasn't sure if there'd be any interference issues either.

It would save running the cable all the way to the front.

That will work perfectly as long as your commander will reach to the front of the vehicle.  I do this with most vehicles that are equiped with power antennas.  You have the antenna, constant, switched and ground wires all right there.

Thanks very much. I'm *hoping* the controller will reach. Its a new Kenwood MP3 I ordered but haven't received yet, so I'm not even sure how everything looks, length, etc.... yet.

The later wagons omitted the power antennas (because they were a constant source of failure problems) and integrated the antenna into the rear side window. I got a later window with all the hookups at a yard, so the power antenna motor, et al, will be gone freeing up the whole compartment for this changer. SO....its the perfect - and subtle - spot for it.

Thanks again.
