I recently purchased two S12L7's and am thrilled to death about the SPL they can produce on a small box. The only problem is I find myself continually adjusting the EQ for SQ from song to song to compensate for the sloppy low end. I've only had them for about 5 days and Kicker recommends a two week break-in period. I have thought about the W7's but, with a baby on the way, my funds and space are limited. Any one else have this problem. They are each in a 1cu.ft. box with about 40% polyfill. Big bass is awesome but I listen to a variety of music and prefer a slammin kick over a synth. Will the Kick's deliver?

i've heard they'll do the SPL but im not sure about the variety you may listen to.
