Pioneer deh-7600mp mp3 player settings

Hi guys, have any of you guys had any experience in setting the pioneer deh-7600mp because when i set it, it sounds like crap. i tried reading the book but it was not helpful at all. If u guys have a similar unit and have good sound with your settings, can you guys help me out, thanks a lot guys

I have a DEH-7300MP, the same model as yours, just a year or two older, but the functionality iss the same.

All of the settings are for my ride, and may not work for yours. Use the settings as a general guideline at best. I also have mine set for good SQ NOT SPL:

1)Press SFEQ until it says "off"
2)Press audio and on the screen that has Bass and trebble only: Bass +1 100Hz Trebble +4 4kHz
3)Press audio again and it should bring you to the "Loudness" screen. Press the left direction to turn it off
4)Press audio again for the subwoofer screen. Press right to make sure it is on, IF you have a sub.
5)Press audio again for the 2nd sub screen. +0 125Hz crossover.
6)Press audio again for the highpass filter screen. Press right to turn it on. 80Hz
7)Press audio again for the fade and balance screen. L/R =0 F/R R4
8)Press exit.
9)Press and hold audio button for the variable Q screen.
100Hz 2W, 2.5kHz 2W, 12.5kHz 2W.
10)Press exit, sit back, and enjoy!

Wow, 10 easy steps. Less work than I thought.

hey man, ive got that same unit.  I think it sounds very nice.  Why dont you post what your settings are and the speakers that they are running and then ill see if I can help you from there.

Hi, i have 4 infinity kappa all around, up front i got 5 1/2 and 6x9 in the back, the settings is pretty much default because the more i mess with it the worse the sound got so i just stuck with pretty everything default

You can't follow these 10 steps so strictly, because it all depends on the speakers, car, type of music, etc.

What you need is an amp, it will make a difference between earth and heaven. I first bought a 8600 unit for my car and wasn't satisfied. Then I bought 4 new speakers and still wasn't satisfied. Then I finally bought an amp, and it gave me exactly the audio system I was looking for. The SQ now is amazingly great.

As for the settings on your 7600. Try to turn on the loudness and play with your eq. I'm not sure if your unit has a BBE, but if it does, turn this on, it makes a huge difference. But, until you get an amp, your speakers will get too much of distortion, keeping you away from being able to turn on all the valuable features for SQ of your head unit.

That's why I included the disclamer, "These settings are for MY RIDE... should be used as a general guideline AT BEST.

But no offence. Just try defferent things and see what sounds the best to you. No one else can tell you what you think sounds good.
