Have a USacoustics USB 4085 amp & 1 Jl Audio 10wo sub in ported 1.5 cubic foot box.
Want more bass just need some help. Would like to go with a 10w3 or 10w6. Need help deciding dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm and how to wire it to the two remaining channels of amp. Only have room for 1 10 inch sub, this is in a 03 chevy blazer. The USB 4085 is rated at 85x4 at @ 4ohms,120 x4 @ 2 ohms, and 240 x 2 bridged mono @ 4 ohms. Suggestions will be a big help. Also wiring help to get the most out of the amp and sub. Thanks alot........
well since you're using a 4 channel amp, the most power you caould get would be to bridge two of the channels into one, which would give you 240 watts. The other 2 channels would still be open.
You could use a dual 2 ohm sub in this setup to give you a 4ohm bridged mode.
I dont believe you can use all 4 channels on 1 sub.
The subs you are talking about have RMS values of 250 - 300 watts. Two channels bridged on that amp will provide 240 watts. The best match is the 10W3D2, dual 2 ohm. It is rated 250 watts RMS. Wire the coils in series for a 4 ohm load and bridge to channels 3 and 4. Use the other two channels for the front speakers, 2 at 85 watts @ 4 ohm.
If you still want more bass, it would be best to find some additional space and get a second sub.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
