I have recently installed a Alpine CDA -9835, the  guy already had a system in his car (2-15" mtx with 800 W amp, with a set of 6 1/2" clarion  in the front doors and the rear, but the front 6 1/2 have a built in tweeter plus he has a set of tweeters on a cross over in the pillars in the front window. His speakers are hooked up to an amplifier aswell- 400w) When I hooked up the 9835 it distorted the speakers really bad. I know its in the settings of the built in EQ and X-Over of the deck. How do I set-up the X-Over? What settings should i have it on for Low, Mid Low, Mid High, and High? What slope? what db? Is there a way to take all bass out of the speakers and leave the subs at full?

you can have some fun with this deck....... it is an i-personalize deck.  You can go to the alpine website and adjust a 7 band graphic EQ, also you can set crossover cutoffs, last but not least, Time Correction settings..... VERY adjustable deck..... i enjoy mine alot

I have the same deck and when i wired a set of infinity kappa 4's that have crossovers they distorted horribly as well.  I think it may be the fact that the deck is running through an additional crossover i dont know but i have the same problem and dont know what to do.
