I have a 1995 Pontiac Trans am with steering wheel controls i installed an aftermarket deck and i installed the PAC SWI-X i was impressed with ti and it worked fine and i was installing interior neon lights on the car and i blew some fuses and the radio wire went out on me so i ran a while new radio wire from the fuse box but now i lost the steeriong wheel controls...does anyone know if there is an inline fuse in the radio wire or the blue wire which is the steering wheel wire...what can i do besides rip off the dash and the steering wheel and search for the wire and the problem??

Yep, sounds like you blew a fuse somewhere.  I doubt there is any in-line OEM fuse.  Get out the vehicle's owners manual or get a service manual to find out where the steering wheel controls get power.

most SWC ( Steering Wheel Control ) circuits are passive and not powered hence there are no fuses to blow... they are just a secondary set of tactile switches that work in parrallel with the switches on the face of the radio.....

sounds like you may have a blown fuse for the SWC interface module ( PAC ) that you installed.....

I do not think it is in the PAX SWI-X and where is the fuse located in the PAC SWI-X? Is it in the module itself...The reason i do not think it is that because i lost the orginal 12V radio wire which feeds all teh switches and things for the SWC, andf i just ran a wire from the fuse box to the radio jsut so i could have the 12V to listen to music for now until i figure out what to do. So what i need to do is either find an inline fuse in the radio wire which is the yellow wire whihc gives the 12V to the blue wire whihc is the SWC wire...Correct?(thats what i need to do?) You said there is no inline OEM fuse in the SWC wires but what about one in the radio wire whihc copudl ahve a blwon fuse whihc causes anything that feeds off the radio wire not to get the 12V like the SWC wire...and i do not think it is the PAC SWI-X fuse because the lights still work on the PAC SWI-X it just never gets the 12V from the streering wheel...i need to know where the fuse is in one of these wires...?Thanks
