hi again

i need to purchase an ANL fuse and an ANL fuse holder

i am running 2 amps.

Amp one uses 1 25amp fuse the other uses 3 20amp fuses

they are both fusion powerplant models fp402 and fp1402.

can someone please help me out as to what kind of fuse i will need at the battery for both of these amps.

im guessing that adding up the fuses on the amps is a start, so..85 amps. Now with anl fuses my local retailer have 80amp and 100 amp fuses

which should i go for, am i even on the right track?? thanks, i just need some verification, dont wanna set my car on fire ;)

Yes, you are on the right track.  What gage cable are you using for your main power?  Choose your fuse size to protect the cable.

i am using 2 gauge which goes into a dist block which then splits the cable 2 ways (which is then 4 gauge cable) forward towards each amplifier

thanks.

2AWG is capable of over 200 amps, so if you have easy access to a 100 amp fuse use that at the battery and everything is well protected.  If you later increase the amplifier wattage you can go up to about 225 amps with 2 gage cable.
