My first posting.

I am installing some Infinity 6X9's to replace the OEM speakers in the rear, and would like to know the wiring color, left/right positive/negative.

This is simple for you to figure out. If you have the factory speaker out of the vehicle all you need is some speaker wire and a AA battery. Attach the speaker leads to the speaker. Touch one lead to the - terminal on the battery, touch the other lead to the + terminal on the battery. This will cause the speaker to pop and move in one direction or the other, If the cone moves out, the wire connected to the + terminal on the battery is indeed the + speaker lead. If the cone moves in reverse the speaker leads on the battery and test again. Once you have this done, you will be able to put the speaker up to the factory moles and find out which wire is + and - for the factory wiring.

Alright, went and did the batter thing, and it turns out, I had one wired backwards, which is why it sounded so bad. What a huge difference when the phasing is correct!!!

FYI: 04 Accord EX Right rear pink is positive, Left Rear blue w/white strip is positive.

On another note, I installed a set of Infinity 9652i 6X9's in the rear, and the bass is much better than stock, with less distortion. But, I didn't like the way the tweeters sounded, they were too bright, and would deafen the rear passengers, so I desoldered one of the tweeter leads, and disabled both of them.

So, of course, now there's no highs in the rear, so now I'm going to have to install a set of tweeter filters I have from an old set of Infinity seperates, where I can pick off low/med/high to get the tweeter level where I want it.

Next weekend I'm installing a DEI 452T to control the door locks to work with the emergency brake...
