Im going to set up a second amp, can I just splice the wires from the ones I already hasve running to my other amp?? The only one I really wanna do is the power wire, so I dont have to drilla hole in the firewall adn run a whole new wire through the car. So, can I run 2 amps off of one power wire?

You can use the same POWER cable to supply both amps but the cable must be of large enough to support the current draw of both amps.

One amp is 525W max, not sure of RMS, and has a 40A fuse. The other is 250W rms and has a 20A fuse.

what size power wire are you running?    I always recomend that when you do an install you use 4 guage wire   it is not much more then 8 guage and you can upgrade later on with power problems,    most 4 guage kits come with a distribution block so you can run more then one amp,    if you are running 4 guage you should look into a distro block,   should not be more then $20 at a local shop

I ended up running another wire, both are 8G. If I ever upgrade to a bigger amp I will upgrade the wiring as well.

Just be sure to fuse BOTH wires with appropriately sized fuses close to the battery.

Yes. They both have 60A fuses close to the battery.

Shouldn't one be 40 or less and the other 20 or less?

No, the fuse by the battery is to protect the wire itself, not the amp. If its 8 gauge wiring then you will probobly need a 60 amp fuse at the battery for each.

Thanks for the correction.  I reread this page:  https://www.bcae1.com/fuses.htm

You were right in that the fuse at the battery is simply to protect the wire.  But, it seems that 60 amp is a little large.  They recommend a Maximum of 50 amp fuse size for 8g wire.  Not trying to be nit-picky, just trying to suggest the safe route to go and learning myself along the way.  :-)
