This is probably a stupid question, but is the "Switched 12V+" wire the wire that only has power when the car is in acc or running? I understand the constant and ground and everything else, but I just want to be sure before I start anything.

That's correct, the switched/acc 12V+ is only available when the car is in acc or running.
