Recently it started to display "failure" across the screen. I was wondering if anyone knows what the cause is or has an idea. please respond.

Specifically when does it say that; all the time, on the tuner, or cd?

when its on cd but it disappears for a little then reappears. the mainly says to check all speaker/amp connections. i did that and found no loose connections. the amp still powers the subs and I checked those connections and it was good. Since all speakers work and my amp powers my subs. I dont have any clue why it is doing that. It started today yesterday everything worked fine. Now it says failure. I havent tried it on tuner but so far only cd.

It sounds like something is going out on the cd mechanism or it is dirty. It could even be a bad disc.

its relatively new, i've had it for 3 weeks. i leaned my subs forward to get a good look at the connections before all the prompt came on. could it be because I jostled it a bit and a wire is touching in the wrong spot. More or less a speaker wire? the amp doesn't go into protection at all.

i think the problem is with my front driver's side speaker because it was giving out sound before but not now. I didn't blow it because one moment it played then it stopped.I dont have time to take apart the door but from what I've seen the other speakers that came in the car hooked up it is no more than electrical tape and slicing so my bass could of made the connection become faulty.

it says failure on tuner when the bass kicks in from the subs. could it be a loose connection to a speaker?

the manual says that it means incorrect speaker/amplifier connection but after installing the amp and subs I went through the sub manual and made my connections were right. i also made sure everything was right when I was troubleshooting the set-up after. man, i dont want to damage my set-up but i am at a loss at to what is the problem.

how is it on radio? i have seen many vehicles come thru the shop here where enough concussion is being generated by the subs to allow the CD optical pickup to no longer by able to maintain focus on the disc.... try backing off you subs and see if this corrects the problem... a quick test would be to unplug the RCA's going to the sub amp and retest the system , does it do the same thing? yes? no?

yes it does say the same thing. i have a blown front speaker that is generating some feedback, could that be a problem. Oh and my amp blew 2 channels and wont even power my subvs but will power a cheap walmart sub. What could be the problem? I checked the pcb and everything is fine, there are no puffed caps or blown fuses. I talked to a guy at my local shop and he said it sounded like I blew a channel.

you have a speaker wire shorting to ground somewhere, test each speaker wire for continuity to ground

I checked my speakers except for my left front speaker which is blown or was disconnected and all of them were good all of the ones I tested had continuity to ground.

all had continuity to ground???   thats a bad thing.... you should have no continuity to ground..... this denotes a short to ground
