I hooked up my cd player with wiring harness to the factory input i matched all the colors and polarities (+ with + and so forth) but when i try to turn on the head unit i get nothing it ejects cd's but no other functions

grab a meter and verify your power and ground connections....

so i hooked it up right? i just gotta check the power and ground connections?
