I'm looking into buying a Percision Power A600. I found one for sale at a local shop here in TN.

For reference, this is what it is.
PPI A600

What are your opinions/comments on this amp over my PG X400.1 (dead) amp??

Paul

The PPI A600 was an excellent amp. This amp is a least a good 8 years old or more. Back in the early 90's PPI was a top contender in car audio seen, when PPI was owned by PPI. When DEI (viper alarm, hornet, pyhon) bought the company in the late 90's, PPI in my opion wasn't the same as it used to be. This amp PPI A600 is good amp, now the only discourge factor is it's age. Like i said the amp is aleast a good 8 years old.

PPI amps still rank in the upper tier of available equipment.  IMO, Older amps, no matter the brand, should never be bought off eBay unless the seller offers a 100% money-back guarantee and you are willing to take a chance.
