I ran a search on the x1001's and was unable to come up with the information I was looking for.  I will be running 4 dual 2ohm subwoofers with an x1001 xtant amp.  After viewing their site and searching on this forum all I could find was that the amp will run 1000 watts at 2 ohms.  Can I assume that it is stable to 1 ohm because it is a high grade amp? and does that nessarily mean that I'll truely be getting 2000 watts in 1 ohm or is it more like 1500 watts on this amp?  is there any proof? please help. Thanks.  Subs are 4 Alpine SWR-1021D.

I definitely would not recommend that you run this amp at 1 ohm. I would also recommend that you take the cover off ot it and check to see if all the caps ar3e seateed properly with some kind of glue or silicone. We recently completed a system using this amp and the Bass killed Kenny.... actually because two of the caps were not mounted with this glue as well as the solder connection, the caps just broke off.

This is a great amplifier with a good power supply but it does not have magical powers that will allow it to operate consistently at 1 ohm. Run it safely at 2 ohm, not at 1.

Ditto.  Wire your system for no less than 2-ohms, and for cleanest performance wire at 4-ohms.
