They are a potent little driver.  One of our OEM's use them in a HT sub, which we have at the shop.  They get surprisingly low and sound awesome.  It always surprises people that it is just an 8 playing.  We had one guy come in with a pair of RE 8's.  He swapped them out with the Koda 8's, running at a higher impedance so they had less power; but they were still louder and sounded better.  I can give you some links with some more info if you like.

That would be sweet.

168 shipped for a pair.  Guess that isn't too bad it they perform good.

These can be used in home theater?  I'd like some info on that f you have it..  Im interested in making a GOOD folded horn enclosure for these.

The guy who swapped out the RE 8's to the Koda 8's was 95 Honda, and you can find some of his thoughts here: https://acoustic-visions.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1918

And Dan mentions some more info here: https://forum.soundillusions.net/showthread.php?t=39141

They would work great for HT use.  The only problem is the 4 ohm voice coil.  Horn loaded, that would be interesting.  It should get very loud, but probably not over a very wide bandwidth.  But it would be over the important part. posted_image  They would also be very efficient that way.  But then, why would you need efficiency when this will be available soon: https://acoustic-visions.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1774&st=20 posted_image

BTW, pay close attention to the size of that amp.  It is tiny for that kind of power.  Of course the processing board and power supply aren't shown there.  Also look down further for an even smaller amp (25X2 at 4 ohms and the size of a pack of cards).

Wow..thats is tiny.

You interested in building a folded horn to do a test...would give me and many others insight on how do it and how well this lil 8 does.

Our site lists mounting depth as less than 3.75".  I'm not sure what the weight is, but I will try to remember to check on monday.  They aren't that heavy though.

Ok, I took measurements today and found out it is 4" deep.  But they only weight 7 lbs. each.

BTW, we now have enclosure sizes listed on the webpage.
