Can anyone tell me if mounting a capacitor under the hood(directly behind headlight housing and in front of battery) is safe? Because that's where I mounted mine today and I'm a little worried about moisture causing wear and possible arcing.
Why would you do that? Caps are supposed to be as close to the amplifier as possible. I don't think that it would be the best idea ever, possibly dangerous.

It is meant to supply power faster when the amp needs it, so the closer to the amplifier the better.

One more question, do you know if it's safe to mount them upside down. Because in the back of my truck(inside) theres a spot to slide it up into if the connection is made on the bottom.

Yeah, where is the peanut gallery.
You can mount it how ever you want, but you will have more of a chance of problems if the cap ever vents. If you mount it upside down you will also have to make sure that it is extremely secure as to not short out the terminals if it ever comes loose and falls to the floor.
