Does anyone know of anyplace where I can grab an accessory for remote turn on for a high level amp install with out taking out the radio and going to the ignition harness. It is (as the subject describes) a 2004 grand am with a Monsoon factory amplified system. I tried looking at the amp itself thinking that it might have a turn on, but no success, because of it being data. I also tried driver and passenger side kicks but the only browns that were there weren't TRUE accessory..meaning that my meter would only show 12 volts when the key was in the "ON" position and not the "ACC" position. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks.

use DEI's 55000  it takes an AC signal off a speaker wire as a turn on and supplies 12 volts to remote on an amp. they work slick and easy....

The alternative should be the pink wire coming from the ignition tumbler down the steering column.

There should be a harness or two running parallel to the car on the left side of the drivers underdash. Open up the higher up harness, and you can find your thick brown and orange accessory wires that you can tap into.
