hey guys. its been a while. lets see, i recently bought some subs. not what i wanted but the money situation has been a little too tight to get anything good. I picked up a set of Pyle blue wave series 1200 watt 12" subs. not a bad sub at all for the price but they do something wierd, i was just curious if its normal. I work 12 hour days. when im at work my car sits in direct sunlight for that entire period of time. so every day when i get outta work, ill turn on my car and play it. for some reason after being in the sun all that time the subs always sound the best. a bit boomy, but i can turn it up full blast and i'll get almost no rattle and no distortion. however, lets say.... in the morning, when my car's been sitting in the cold all night, and i go to play, i cant go much past half volume cuz the whole hatch rattles like crazy and the bass doesnt sound as clean. in the sun, (after work) i can play full blast and my ears get a little plugged up, in the morning or when its not so hot, i can turn them up all the way, but they sound like ass. even after being played for a while. any ideas? thanks alot.

I had the same problem in my swift and its an easy answer without an easy solution. It is because the car is cold. The panels are more brittle and the interior of the car is colder which is why everything rattles more. After your car has been sitting in the sun all day the panels are warmed up as is the cars entire interior and the rattle is greatly reduced. The only solution I know of is to dynamat the crap outta that car.

Or only use the stereo when it's warm.  :)

Rubberized undercoating is a inexpensive route instead of dynamat,   if you want to go the real way go with Browm Bread
