I have a 2002 1.8 T and was wondering something about an amp that I installed, I just wanted to know how I should to the inputs, I dont have an aftermarket headunit, and have the converter to make high inputs - low inputs, I need to know where to get the hi input signal from and also where should I have ran the power wire? PLEASE HELP! again to make it clear, I need input for the jetta with a stock headunit, I also have the converter I just need to know where to tap the wires for the high inputs. PLEASE HELP! Thanx!

Well, you can go behind the deck and tap into the wires there, which will be easiest. I do suggest extending the wires from the deck to the input side of the converter being that the space behind the deck is very limited and if you extend the wires you can put the converter under either the passanger side or the drivers side of the dash. Off the top of my head I cant remember where I usually run the power wire in those cars, where did you run it and do you think there is a problem with it?

if you want to keep it easy, which it sounds like you do, you could just run it from the speakers in the rear deck. i'm not sure if you have them, but my '97 jetta does.  if not, then the deck  would probably work best if you are using the line output converter.  what exactly do you mean by running the power wire? through the firewall? or through the interior? most newer VWs have a hole in the drivers side of the firewall ready to go with a rubber plug in it. in the interior just pop off the kicker panels and run it under those, so long as you don't pinch it anywhere
