WOW what an open ended question. I guess I would probally use either Rainbow or Boston Pro components, Macintosh amps, Nak Deck, and for subs, I really dont know, I would have to probally go with the Utopia 13's from Focal. Thats for SQ. For SPL I would just take 6-8 12" MTX 9500's and put them in a wall in my S-10 then crank up the deck and duck and cover.

If I was going for a SQ/SPL system, either MMATS, or Digital Desingns subs with MMATS or MX Autotek amp, a Nak or Eclipse HU and Boston or MB speakers. For pure SPL I would have to say as many Kicker Solobaric 18s as I could fit in a LARGE vehicle, with as many JBL 6000W amps as nessecary...dont think I can get much louder then that lol.

Eclipse hu, 2 10" Brahma Mark II's, a Zapco C2K4.0 - 4 KW amp, MB Quart Q's - 8 of 'em, assorted sizes with Zapco or Xtant amps on em. Probably have to haul around an industrial size generator in the back of the truck....

Steven,

The Extremis 6?  What is this driver?  I can't seem to find any info on it at Adire?  Also, I remember reading a thead on another board about a XBL^2 4" driver .. any info on that?  Given the size of my giant feet I would be REALLY interested in that driver for my kicks.  :-)

Dream system you say?  No dollar cap?

Here's a link to our page on it: https://www.adireaudio.com/Files/Dan/Parthenon/

It's the only sub in the world that can produce reference levels of output at 20 Hz and without an enclosure.  It will out-displace 12 of our Tumults (15" ultra long throw subs).

Hmmm, the Extremis 6's parameters used to be up on the site, but they must have been taken down when we changed the website.  But anyway, it has about 12mm of linear throw one way, a neodymium motor, ultra smooth response and ultra low distortion.  Dr. Kippel himself actually tested the driver at CES and was most impressed with it.  The BL distortion is actually lower over most of the bandwidth than the Cms distortion, wich is most impressive.  Usually it is over twice as high.  I can't say any more than to suggest to keep checking our site over the next month. posted_image

As for the 4, it is actually being developed for one of our OEM's called Creative Sound Solutions.  You can find their site at  www.creativesound.ca .  BTW, it is an 8 ohm unit with a bucking magnet.  So it is kind of deep, and might be a problem to power.  But it has flat response on axis all the way out to 18 kHz, and down to about 60 Hz in a ported enclosure.  We had a pair running full range (no crossover used, just hooked directly to the amp) at CES.  I can't wait till they come in.  They will be used as my surround speakers at home. posted_image

There is some general pricing at the bottom of the page on Steven's link, but I didn't see any power #'s...

To edit my earlier post, change the 2 10's to 4 12" Brahmas and the amp to a Phoenix Gold Titanium Elite - 10000 W RMS over 4 channels. Of course the Parthenon would be nice, but I'd still like to be able to drive the vehicle, lol.  Hey Steven - could you run two of those in an isobaric fashion?
