I justpicked up one of these subs (brand new) for crazy cheap, and I'd like to put it in a nice custom enclosure in the rear side pannel of my 99 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

I currently have it in a pre fab 1cub. box and it sounds really nice running off an MTX MXA4001 amp. I'm just curious to know of the smallest enclosure I can get away with. What I would like to do is make an enclosure similar to the factory sub locations on some Ford Explorers, but I don't think I could squeeze 1 cubic foot out of the area in which I'm willing to work in.

Basically has anyone had experience with these subs in small enclosures? If so...about how big?

Thanks in advance.

All subs are different.  Many companies make subs that are designed for small enclosures.  Find the right sub and your job could be easier than you think.  JL, Rockford Fosgate are just a couple that make subs for small enclosures.
