I had bought an amp which was a four channel amp. Well the person who sold it to me said I could use two channels to power up my woofer and the other two could be used for my front speakers. How do I combine channels to add more power to my woofer, or does it give me all the power divided by the three channels im using?

you can bridge the 2 left-over channels which should give you more power, i think.

you can only run 2 channels of the amp to the sub ie channel 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. You cannot put all 4 channels to one sub unless the sub is dual voice coil and you know EXACTLY how to set the gains. Even then it is rarely a good idea.

what impedience is this woofer, and how many coils do you have?? This will also make a huge impact on the way you wire your sub.
