why do i get a screeching noise out of the speakers when i turn the car on? you can hear it until volume is about half way.

As in, is it more of a whine that goes up and down when you rev the engine?? Or is it indeed a "screech" noise that is persistant and doesn't' fluctuate??

Is this aftermarket equipment or is it factory equipment?? If it is indeed factory, what type of car and options(i.e. premium sound, standard equipment)

Answer those, maybe you could get a more responsive answer to your questions.
