I picked up some JBL tweeters off eBay to add to my 6-1/2" Blaupunkts in my CR-V.  They didn't come with a high-pass filter or crossover of any type, so I'm unsure of how to connect them properly.

I saw some BassBlockers on www.partsexpress.com, is this what I need, or would a simple capicator from Radio Shack do the trick.

I've searched the web and can't find any information on these tweeters, not even on the JBL website.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Don't the 6.5's already have tweeters?  What's the deal?

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

The 6.5's do have tweeters, but they are mounted low in the door panels and the imaging isn't what I would like it to be.  I've mounted two of the JBLs on the doors opposite the sideview mirrors, just need to figure out how I'm going to connect them.  From the high-pass filter calc, I guess I need a 16uF cap to pass 2.5kHz.

Picked up some 10uF and 2.2uF 50VDC caps at RadioShack yesterday.  I put one of each in parallel with each other, which measured about 14.4uF with my multimeter.  I put these in series with two of the tweeters in the front doors, worked like a charm.  I plan to do the same this weekend with the two in the back.
