How tight is space...because there are lot of drivers that need a very small volume.

Im really going for the free air look. I have 2 Premier TS2000SPLs in ported boxes, so for a little tiburon space is getting tight.

Yea... its not so much that I need to hear more bass. The SQ and SPL is fine. I just want to open my trunk and blow off the ears of my friends. You can never show off how much bass you have. (unless your to the point where you show off and people want to rob you. lol.

What do you mean by "the free air look"? ------------- Support the12volt.com

Tiburon and free air = no worky. A free air sub must have the front of the speaker separated from the back, ie a sedan with a trunk where the front side of the sub fires into the cabin of the vehicle and the back uses the trunk as an enclosure. Your Tiburon does not lend itself to this type of installation.

Geez us. that type of setup must be powerful crap. I would have to imagine that is what they use in competition, where the trunk itself act as an enclosure.

Car audio and electronics mag. did a test report on these subs back in september of 03 and might i say not bad at all with the ratings. You can actully still check out the article on the magizenes website. Just search TS-W2000SPL in there search box. (Anyway besides my subs) back to FREE AIR. Ives seen all over the palce non free air subs being inverted. whats up with that? And can i do it or not??????If not how are they pulling this off?

Like I said earlier, free air subs = bad idea in this application. A sub can be mounted inverted, with little to no loss in output. This is done for mounting depth issues with the magnets, airspace issues for box volume (magnets take up airspace) or if the person just wants to show off the backside of a subwoofer. This does not make it a "freeair" subwoofer by any means. A "freeair" subwoofer has a totally different set of mechanical parameters that optimize it for that kind of use. So like I originally stated, probably not the best choice for your system. ------------- Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

We may consider using these subs in one of our customers vehicle. Which amp do you have it powered to?
Also its funny that you mentioned about car audio and electro mag, I happen to be a subscriber. And guess what. a while back a couple of people were bagging on "Volfenhags" and oh boy guess what they made it in that mag, and seems they rated it out to be decent. have a few specs there too. I'll see if i could find the issue for you.
I'm very much interested in these premiere pioneers. Can u give me some more info specs on these subs?
