I've heard that the kenwood headunits' with (Mask) flip around faceplates break easy and when it happens, the ribbon needs to be replaced.  Anyone familiar with the repairs necessary to complete this task?  I have 3 kenwoods here at my house that needs repairs...any suggestions would be appreciated.

The ribbon cables do eventually brake, but not very easily.  You can change them in about fifteen minutes, once you get use to them.  You will need to desolder and resolder the connector on the face end, the other end unplugs.  Keeping the sping loading is the hard part, and removing the plastic cover is no peice of cake.
