i have a sound4 cassette player model no: CM97 and i want to wire it up to a car battery for external use not in my car. but it only has six wires 4 speaker one, black ground one and a red igniton one with a fuse, i just want to know how i could wire this to a battery, any help appreciated

Dabby,

There should also be a yellow wire on the harness, this is your memory / constant +12V, but if not, try black on ground, red on positive see if you get anything, if not, then more than likely this harness is missing that wire, possibly pulled out of the plug.

he did say it was just a cassette player.... is this the case? just cassette ? not ETR cassette?

if so, just hook power to the positive terminal and ground to the negative terminal.... hook up your speakers and your off and running.....
