Okay....

Just installed a D900 into a dodge ram with the infinity system along with installing a Polk MOMO 4C amp. PROBLEM: The front speakers are making a buzzing sound.

What Have we tried:
1. Swapped the RCA's at BOTH the processor and the amp....so wires are good
2. Used new wires....just in case.....and it still happened.
3. When swapping the wires the buzzing does change from the front to the rear.

Wired: We wired the 3 front dash speakers and FRONT and the 4 door speakers as REAR so to use the crossover in the amp.

BTW....this is not alternator whine since it happens with the car not running and in the ACC position

We need a suggestion quick since we are out of options and ideas.

I assume you have disabled the Infinity amps? And your amp ground is good? Sounds like a ground loop through the RCAs if the sound moved with the cable. Replace the one on the buzzing channels just to be certain it's not a bad cable. Also try running a new ground for the HU to the chassis.

i'm curious about this too.... did you go directly to the passive wires on the speaker? or did you simply disconnect the amp turn on lead at the HU harness? or are the infinity amps still in circuit??

you say when swapping the wires the sound changes from front to back... are you swapping at the input to the amp or at the output from the amp?

First....found the problem.....the cable to the nav unit.

Second....I bypassed the factory am with the Metra made patch cable....then used the rca's to the amps and the wired the speakers again using the amp bypass kit.....I was not going to run better wire since this is not for competition....and no patience at my old age.
